Located at Russell-Fields City Pier & M.B. Miller County Pier. Each weekend starting October 2nd through October 25th beginning at 5 a.m. Friday morning through Sunday at 5 p.m. anglers can compete in the challenge which includes 4 species: King Mackeral, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder & Pompano. A winner at each pier will be awarded in each fish category every weekend. A total of $1,300 in prizes will be awarded for eligible fish caught each weekend. A $250 prize package will be awarded to the overall winner who catches the heaviest fish between the two piers in each of the four categories during the 2015 Fishing Challenge. Winners of the Children's Division who catch the largest fish each weekend will receive a $50 prize package. Children's Division is open to kids 12 years of age and under. Children must hook the fish and actively participate in reeling in the fish. Children's winner will be the heaviest overall fish between all categories. Weigh-ins will take place at each pier with the weekend winners announced on Sunday at 5 p.m. No tournament entry fee, but must pay pier fishing fee.
