Children's Fishing Rodeo

The City of Callaway along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Fish Florida, and Callaway Masonic Lodge 369 will be hosting a Free Fishing Clinic for children under the age of 16 years. Please encourage your young child or a friend’s child to come out and enjoy a day of fun, fishing and learning. Children are encouraged to bring their own fishing equipment and free fishing equipment will be available. Adult assistance is permitted. There will be free refreshments along with drawings for prizes. Pre-registration is at the Callaway City Hall and the Callaway Leisure Service Department Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm daily. The event will be held at the Callaway Recreational Complex, 500 Callaway Park Way (off Hwy 22) between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 am. Registration will begin at 7:30 am and the fishing starts at 8:00 am. Please come out and enjoy the day with us!

Anchors Away 6K & One Mile Family Fun Run

Join us for the annual Anchors Away 6K & One Mile Family Fun Runthrough the beautiful trails in the Panama City Beach Conservation Park. All proceeds from the event support Anchorage Children's Home serving abused and homeless youth in our community. Each 6K registered participant receives a dry-fit performance race t-shirt, pre & post race snacks, along with other race day swag. Butterfly Gardening Workshop

The UF/IFAS Extension Bay County Office, located at 2728 E. 14th St., Panama City, will host a free Butterfly Gardening Workshop. This workshop will include information about the life cycle of butterflies, creating and maintaining a butterfly garden, and a visit to an on-site demonstration garden.
